WELFARE RIGHTS APPEALS WORKER (Ref: WRAW)
We are looking to recruit a committed, experienced worker to join our County-wide Welfare Rights Team.
The work involves:
- Tribunal representation;
- Providing telephone advice to other agencies in the County;
- Training statutory & voluntary sector workers, plus, where required:
- Producing factsheets and leaflets
- Participating in County-wide take-up campaigns
You should have experience of tribunal representation, although full training and support will be given to any suitable candidate.
You will be required to carry an appeal caseload, contribute to presenting training and talks at all levels, and help staff an enquiry line for all agencies in Warwickshire.
You may also be involved in producing information items and participating in take-up campaigns.
Salary: £22,221 - £26,276 p.a. (depending on experience) plus 6% contribution to pension
Hours: 36.25 hours per week
Based at: Nuneaton, Warwickshire

BENEFIT TAKE UP WORKER (Ref: TUW)
This post is funded initially until 31/03/2011 with the possibility of additional funding being secrured beyond this date.
You will join our established and well renowned county-wide take up team. Successful applicants will have prior experience of welfare rights work, although full training and support will be provided to suitable candidates. The work involves:
- Planning and preparing take up campaigns;
- Advising clients and helping with claims;
- Monitoring the success of work done;
- Delivering brief benefit awareness raising talks to various agencies.
This post could be considered as part of a job share.
You will be required to carry an appeal caseload, contribute to presenting training and talks at all levels, and help staff an enquiry line for all agencies in Warwickshire.
You may also be involved in producing information items and participating in take-up campaigns.
Salary: £22,221 - £23,708 p.a. plus 6% contribution to pension
Hours: 36.25 hours per week
Based at: Nuneaton, Warwickshire
