About Us
Warwickshire Welfare Rights Advice Service was set up in September 1986.
Initially based in the 6 Citizens Advice Bureaux across the County, it has been operating out of its Central Unit in Nuneaton since 1992.
Governed by a Management Board representing the full spectrum of the Voluntary and Statutory sector of Warwickshire, funding comes primarily from Warwickshire County Council.
Funding is also received from a range of other sources for specific projects.
Currently there are 12 full-time and 2 part-time members of staff who are:

We have assisted Warwickshire citizens by
- representing at Social Security Appeals (where we have a 75% success rate);
- advising advisers of all kinds on the range of Social Security Benefit problems affecting their clients;
- training on all client groups and benefit issues;
- publishing over 70 information leaflets and self-help packs
In addition we assisted the people of Warwickshire to £3.7 million in unclaimed benefits last year alone.
